No website on Sulawesi would be complete without the scholarship of Christian Pelras. The OXIS site holds few of his publications as most are the copyright of the journal Archipel. A complete set of Pelras’ thirty-two articles on South Sulawesi, in English and French, was published in 2010 as Explorations dans l'univers des Bugis (Cahiers d’Archipel vol. 39).
